The Walk to End Hunger is a family-friendly 5K fun walk presented by The Mosaic Company. The Walk, held on Thanksgiving morning in the Mall of America, is a great way to start your holiday off right - giving back before you give thanks!
Since its inception in 2008, the Walk to End Hunger has raised over $1,200,000 to help support 12 hunger relief organizations that work together to eliminate hunger in the Twin Cities metro area. 100% of the net proceeds of the Walk are distributed to the 12 partner organizations.
We have a lot of fun planned! Two rides at Nickelodeon Universe will be open for all Walkers, and our first-floor route will have music, balloon animals, Santa, and a kids craft table.
New this year! We're opening up a second-floor route to the event that will have a new 5K power-walk route and fun activities to help you burn off those Thanksgiving dinner calories before you even start. We'll be joined that morning by Dawn Bryant, a local woman whose 130 pound weight loss was covered in an August issue of People Magazine, and Bodies by Burgoon will be providing fun low-impact fitness activities and training tips for the whole family.
Registration begins at 7am on Thanksgiving morning and ends at 9:30am. There is an official Walk kick-off at 7:30 am. The crowds will be having fun and fighting hunger all morning from 7am until 10am, so feel free to join us at whatever timeline that works for your holiday schedule!
Please use the links at left to sign up for the walk, make a general donation to the cause, and to help spread the word to your family, friends and colleagues.
For easy access to Registration on Thanksgiving morning, park in the West Parking Ramp and enter via the West Entrance. Please note: this is a change from previous years.
